 Jin Shin Jyutsu (ancient Japanese acupressure) is a spiritual and physical study of the body born of innate wisdom.  It was an oral tradition lost and rediscovered in the early 1900’s by Master Juro Murai in Japan.  Master Murai cleared himself of a life threatening illness by solely working on his hands for 7 days with the 8 Finger Poses. He then dedicated his life to rediscovering this ancient “artless art.”  Jin Shin Jyutsu was written about in the Kojiki (Record of Ancient Things 712A.D.) and was known to exist before the birth of Moses and Buddha.

Learning Jin Shin Jyutsu engages one in self study and self help, assisting those of all ages, and occupations.  Our bodies contain several energy pathways that feed life into our cells.  By gently touching the twenty - six “safety energy locks” a general sense of well being is achieved.  Using our hands as “jumper cables” we can help to alleviate pain, reduce stress, bring relaxation, and restore harmony to our Body, Mind, and Spirit.

We will learn about the history, life – force energy system:  what it is, how it operates in our bodies, and the universal life substance called Chi, Ki, or Prana. We will learn to work on our own fingers.  Each finger represents 2 organs and an attitude or emotion.  Because all the energy of the body goes through our hands, we can help to ease pain, balance emotions, and reduce stress.

Battles, LMT Merry has worked in the Healing Arts since 1977.  She has practiced the Art of Massage, Cellulite Massage, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Cranio Sacral Therapy, Reiki, and Foot Reflexology. In addition to her healing work, Merry is a published poet, artist and author. Merry’s book CHRISTMAS MEDITATIONS ON THE TWELVE HOLY DAYS DECEMBER 26 – JANUARY 6 is a compilation of her 26 year dedication to the 12 Holy Days of Christmas
